Founded by Bradley Hill, Simple Health Kitchen has three stores: Watling Street and King William Street, located in in the heart of London and their third store in Baker Street, West End. Simple Health Kitchen seeks to inspire healthy eating by challenging the misconception that healthy food is boring.

“I want to create an environment where the customer can walk into the store knowing that anything they choose is good for their health and at the same time has a great taste”, says founder Bradley Hill.

The menu includes a host of guilt-free delicious favourites such as the Smashed Avo and Banana Toast (offered with peanut butter, almond butter or vegan choco spread), while the lunch menu includes dishes like Mexican Bean Soup, Chilli Broccoli, Chicken Milanese and the Chicken Dhal with brown rice box. These delights are accompanied by an array of juices, smoothies and naturally flavoured waters.

Project Brief

We were asked to provide a premium background music system to enhance the enjoyment of restaurant customers and staff.

System Solution

The industrial open-ceiling interior design allowed us to take advantage of the two central overhead steel cable trays to fly the compact Yamaha VXS5 loudspeakers, specifically chosen for their light weight and superior performance characteristics. We installed four in the main entrance/dining area, with a further pair placed overhead at the take-away food counter.

The Yamaha loudspeakers are powered by a two-zone Cloud 36-50 mixer amplifier, housed in a centralised IT rack in the manager’s office. The Cloud amplifier allows independent volume control and source selection in each of the two audio zones, should it be required.

We also fitted two remote Cloud RL-1 volume control panels that allow adjustment of the sound system in each zone without returning to the central rack.
